The rice season comes once a year in Hoang Su Phi. The best times are in May, when the flooding season comes; the spectacular rice fields are green and lush in July & August but at the same time, August can be very wet, so carry an umbrella like locals; and the harvesting season takes place in September. From My Dinh Bus Station, get ticket for the route Ha Noi - Ha Giang with the price of 230.000VND. Then, from Ha Giang city, rent a motorbike to Hoang Su Phi. WHAT IS THE BEST OF HOANG SU PHI?
Same as Mu Cang Chai, the local people in Hoang Su Phi also growth rice on their harvest fields. At harvest time, visitors will admire the golden fields from the foot to the top of the valley. The terraced fields appear in almost every communes in Hoang Su Phi District. However, the highest concentration is still in Ban Luoc, Ban Phung, San Sa Ho, Nam Ty, Ho Thau, Nam Khoa and Thong Nguyen.
