Day 01: Hanoi – Mai Chau, ~160 km (-/L/D) ~ 5 hours
In the morning, you will be welcomed and picked up by our guide who will escort you along the 10 day-tour Northwest Vietnam. First, have a short briefing about the tour and safety on the way. After that, head out to Mai Chau which is 160km from Hanoi. Enjoy fabulous landscape on the way that will not let you stop having beautiful photo shoots. We then conquer two striking passes before reaching Mai Chau’s center. We then check in homestay which is a traditional house on stilts of Thai people. In the evening, we will enjoy a cultural dancing performance of Thai. Overnight in Mai Chau.
Day 02: Mai Chau – Moc Chau (B/L/D) ~140 km ~ 5 h
Enjoy breakfast at homestay, then we depart on the highway before reaching an old road used during the French colony. We then will cross the area of Thai people followed by the Dao and H’mong at higher location. The road is not quite good, but the view is magnificent which is worthy your travel. Later, we arrive at the main highway and keep driving to Moc Chau where is famous for dairy products, tea and waterfall. Check in hotel and overnight in Moc Chau.
Day 3: Moc Chau – Phu Yen (B/L/D) ~140 km ~ 5 hours
Breakfast at hotel, then start your motorbike ride to Phu Yen. We first drive back on the main road for some km before merging on a new road which run down the side of a large valley. Stop on the way for having photo shoots of impressive view over the area and meet local ethnic minorities to obtain further understanding of local life. Arrive in Phu Yen in the afternoon, check in homestay/hotel before exploring the beautiful area of Phu Yen which is in the middle of an enormous valley of terraced rice fields. Overnight in Phu Yen.
Day 04: Phu Yen – Vu Linh (B/L/D) ~ 150 km ~ 5 hours
Enjoy breakfast at homestay/hotel and after that travel to Vu Linh via either the very end of Hoang Lien Son mountain range or the untarnished rain forests on the challenging rocky road. Later, we will travel on the way from Ba Khan to Yen Bai. We then arrive at the edge of Thac Ba Lake which was formed by the construction of hydropower dam in 1970s. Leave the bikes behind we embark the boat and enjoy boat ride along the lake for an hour before traveling to the Dao village for check-in homestay and overnight in Vu Linh.
Day 05: Vu Linh – Hanoi (B/L/-) ~ 180 km ~ 6 hours
Enjoy breakfast at homestay and then we travel back to Hanoi on Highway 2 before reaching the small town of Phu Tho which is a rich province associated with 18 dynasties of Hung kings who were well-known for building the nation of Van Lang during 2879 to 258 B.C. Also, this is the confluence of Red River and Da river. We then continue driving to Hanoi passing Son Tay which is famous for its ancient citadel built under the reign of King Minh Mang in 1822. Arrive at your hotel in Hanoi, say goodbye to our guide.
